Ok, I have to admit! This girl who walked in the shadows really got under my skin. This is the third book of the series and I can’t get enough of them. Georgina and Paul are such a dynamic duo in private life and on the crime scene, I absolutely love them with all their ons and offs. But, let me tell you something about the story….
A murder without a weapon. Can it be possible? Yes, if the weapon is made of ice, and the ice melts. One, two, three bodies appear, murder weapons made of ice. All the victims connected, children are involved. Are all these cases connected? Is this the work of a serial killer? The police give him a name, Jack Frost.
Georgina Mckenzie and Paul van der Bergen work on the case. Their investigations take them back in the past when two children disappeared from their backyard. Could the murders from the present be connected with the tragedy in the past? And how is killing child abusers bad thing?
McKenzie and van der Bergen are one hell of a duo. Their love relationship is going hot and cold all the time, and this time is HOT! But on the field, no serial killer can escape these two. One genius complements the other. These two are unstoppable.
Ms. Marnie Riches gets even better with every next book. The crimes and crime scenes are getting better and better, more creepy and more complex to solve. And the main characters are more and more developed as the story continues. Written with a contagious writing style that keeps you on the edge till the very last page, all I can say is that this „girl“ is one hell of a woman.
My opinion: 5 / 5
